Tūī - 3-Layer Framed Wall Art
Free NZ shipping over $150 · Afterpay available
The tūī is one of the defining sounds of Aotearoa: bold, musical and full of character. This piece shows the bird resting on a flowering branch, with its white throat tuft and layered feather detail picked out through the artwork.
The three-layer construction is what gives the design its depth: a walnut-stained birch overlay, a crisp white cast-acrylic middle layer and a dark grey-stained timber backing. The acrylic catches the light through the cut detail, giving the throat, wing markings and blossoms a bright, clean contrast.
Measuring 320 mm high x 215 mm wide overall, with a visible artwork area of 305 mm x 195 mm, it is sized to make an impact without needing a large wall.
Framed in hardwax-finished macrocarpa, each piece is designed, made and finished in our Helensville workshop. Natural timber grain and hand finishing make every piece subtly individual.
For every Native Bird Wall Art piece sold, furnACE sets aside $2 for quarterly donations supporting New Zealand native-bird conservation.
