Morepork / Ruru – A3 Signature Wall Art (Oak or Walnut)

The ruru belongs to the quiet part of the bush day: a small native owl, perched and watchful, with a call that carries through the trees after dark. This design centres on those large, distinctive eyes and the dense feather texture of the bird.

Fine cut detail in the stained birch overlay reveals a crisp white cast-acrylic middle layer beneath. It brings the eye rings, plumage and blossoms into sharp relief against the dark grey-stained timber backing, while the physical gap between layers adds shadow and depth.

Framed in your choice of American White Oak or American Black Walnut, same price either way, and finished with a hard wax oil. Each A3 piece is designed, made and finished in our Helensville workshop. Natural timber grain and hand finishing make every piece subtly individual.
