Nothing says Kiwi summer quite like a sausage sizzle. This one has a Kiwi in his apron working the barbie, a tūī enjoying a cold one, and two pīwakawaka (fantails) having a good old gossip in the branches above, surrounded by pōhutukawa and native foliage.
And the best part? It's all real timber.
The walnut is the design.
Every detail of this original furnACE artwork is precision laser-cut from genuine American walnut and carefully hand-inlaid into matching recesses in the Macrocarpa, then sanded flush with the surface.
It's not a print or a laser-burned illustration. The dark walnut you see is actual timber, individually fitted into the board.
Beautiful timber deserves a second life.
This board began life as a solid Macrocarpa tabletop. Rather than letting such beautiful timber go to waste, we've reclaimed it and transformed it into something entirely new.
The natural grain, knots and colour variations have been preserved, giving each board its own unmistakable character.
At 620 × 280 × 50 mm and weighing a substantial 4 kg, this is no ordinary serving board. There's plenty of room for a generous grazing spread, BBQ favourites, cheeses or whatever else is on the menu.
Concealed routed handholds underneath make it easier to lift and carry, while five discreet rubber feet provide stability and clearance from the table.

Finish and care
Finished with Feast Watson Kitchen Timber Oil, a penetrating timber oil containing genuine tung oil, formulated for kitchen timber surfaces, including cutting boards and wooden utensils.
To keep your board looking its best:
- Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth and dry promptly.
- Do not soak or place in the dishwasher.
- Avoid chopping directly on the decorative walnut inlay.
- Do not place hot cookware directly on the surface.
- When necessary, refresh the finish with Feast Watson Kitchen Timber Oil, following the manufacturer's instructions.
Please note: The finish contains oil derived from tree nuts.
