Kiwi - 3-Layer Framed Wall Art
Free NZ shipping over $150 · Afterpay available
The kiwi is an unmistakable part of Aotearoa. This design shows the bird foraging through a dense fern habitat, its long bill angled towards the forest floor and its body built from a dense pattern of individually cut feather marks.
The complexity of the cutwork is carried by a walnut-stained birch overlay, floating over a crisp white cast-acrylic middle layer and dark grey-stained timber backing. The acrylic appears through the feather detail, ferns and ground cover, creating a striking sense of depth across the whole composition.
Measuring 320 mm high x 215 mm wide overall, with a visible artwork area of 305 mm x 195 mm, it is sized to make an impact without needing a large wall.
Framed in hardwax-finished macrocarpa, each piece is designed, made and finished in our Helensville workshop. Natural timber grain and hand finishing make every piece subtly individual.
For every Native Bird Wall Art piece sold, furnACE sets aside $2 for quarterly donations supporting New Zealand native-bird conservation.
